Sew A Kimono Style Robe
Do you fancy a lovely handmafe kimono style robe to waft around in this summer? Sew yourself this beautiful robe to wear over your shorts on hot summer days, use it as a beach cover up or a dressing gown, the choice is yours.
This in-person workshop will take place on Saturday 7th of June. We can't wait to welcome you to our venue located at Manor Road, Horbury, WF4 6HH.
During this hands-on workshop, Sam will guide you through the entire process of creating your own unique Kimon/Robe, helping you to master new sewing techniques, gain valuable skills.
Sew Your Own Kimono style robe Full Day Workshop - 10am-4pm
You will learn tips & tricks on how to work with slippery fabrics, French seams & how to add a thread chain for a belt.
This beautiful robe features a notched lapel, large kimono style sleeves & an optional belt with thread chain lops & can be made in a variety of fabrics.
Suitable for confident beginners and experienced sewers alike. (You must be able to thread a sewing machine & sew in a straight line & made a few things before).
WHAT’S INCLUDED
The class includes expert instruction, use of the machines, tools etc plus tea, coffee & and biscuits! There will be a break for lunch which can be bought nearby or bring along with you.
YOU NEED TO BRING
* 2.5 metres of woven fabric, such as viscose, satin, cotton lawn (If you aren’t sure, please contact me) I recommend that you wash this prior to the class
* Matching thread
* If you would prefer to bring your own machine, just let me know & ensure that you have all the power cable, pedal & all the bits & pieces that came with it.
* Glasses if you need them - don't forget them!
SKILL LEVEL
Beginner/Intermediate
Suitable for adults who have never made a garment before but are confident using a sewing machine. As well as those who may have previous experience and wish to use the class to gain confidence or new inspiration.
*Please note - the studio is accessed via stairs & the toilets are downstairs. There is free off street parking outside the studio.
Cancellation/Refund Policy
Payment in full is required at the time of booking to secure your place. If you find that you can't attend 14 days or more before the start of your class you will receive a full refund, or offered a space on a future workshop. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for cancellations with less than 2weeks notice.

i try to calculate how long a workshop will be and plan to finish each garment in the allocated time but this isn’t always possible, If you are unable to finish in the workshop time I will make sure you are confident with your garment to be finished at home.
